Our Experience with Four Paws
We have two very large dogs both close to 90 pounds. They are true gentle giants, but finding a groomer who can comfortably and confidently accommodate their size has been… hard, to say the least.
We’ve also struggled with scheduling over the years. Appointments that get canceled last minute, groomers who don’t show up, or worse, being completely ghosted. And when that happens, it’s our poor dogs who suffer. Matting, overgrown coats, bangs so long they can’t see. It’s stressful for everyone. I needed a groomer who was reliable, professional, loving, and who genuinely loved my dogs.
From the very beginning, Four Paws felt different. Booking was incredibly easy. I could do everything right from my phone, which let’s be honest is essential for a busy mom. No phone calls to schedule, no back-and-forth emails. The intake form was simple, I could upload vaccination records, answer a few thoughtful personality questions about my pup, and choose an appointment directly from their online calendar. A few days later, my pup Louise was ready to be pampered.
Walking into the boutique, the space was so beautiful, like a human salon for dogs. Clean, fresh, bright, and clearly so well cared for. There was spa music playing, which immediately set a calm tone for both of us.
Crystal greeted us and was absolutely wonderful with Louise. Dogs can tell good people, and Louise took to her right away. Crystal patiently let her step up onto the grooming platform on her own time, never rushing or forcing her, and then got to work with such ease and confidence.
When I came back a few hours later, I swear I had a new dog. Louise had never looked so beautiful or felt so soft. The care, attention, and love that went into her grooming was obvious.
I am genuinely so grateful that Four Paws is here in Santa Fe. For families with big dogs, busy schedules, or pups who need a little extra patience and care—this place is a game changer.
